Why Add Composting to Your Service?
Reduced Pests & Odors
Food waste causes the smells that attract pests. With weekly composting pickup, keep it out of your trash and enjoy a cleaner home.
Save on Trash Bags
With Bath's 4-bag limit, composting helps you stay within your limit while saving money on costly city trash bags.
Less Waste to Landfills
Divert 31% of your household waste from landfills and incinerators. Help Bath achieve its sustainability goals.
Lightweight, Leak-Free Trash
Without heavy, wet food scraps, your trash is easier to handle and won't leak all over your bin or driveway.
Compost More Than at Home
We accept meat, dairy, seafood, and cooked foods that backyard composting can't handle safely.
Help Your Garden Grow
Purchase finished compost to enrich your soil and grow healthier plants. Turn your waste into garden gold!
Now You Can Recycle MORE in Bath!
Help Bath improve its recycling rate! We've expanded what we accept curbside.
♻️ Plastic #1-7
Bottles, jars, jugs, cups, tubs, and rigid containers. All plastic types #1-7 now accepted!
🍕 Pizza Boxes
Yes, even greasy pizza boxes! They're now accepted in your recycling bin.
📦 Cartons
Milk cartons, juice cartons, and Tetrapak containers. Empty and flatten them first!
🥫 Metal & Glass
Food & beverage cans, clean foil, pots & pans, plus all glass bottles and jars.
📰 Paper & Cardboard
Mixed paper, newspapers, magazines, junk mail, and boxes. Empty and flatten boxes!
❌ Don't Bag It!
Place recyclables loose in your bin - not in bags. This helps us process them correctly.
53% of your trash could be diverted!
Between recycling and composting, more than half of what goes in your trash can be diverted. For the last 5 years, Bath's recycling rate has gone down. Let's do better together!
